It is indicated in the treatment of the following infections when caused by susceptible strains of microorganisms:

· Urinary tract infections

· Respiratory tract infections

· Typhoid

· Otitis media

· Gonorrhea (cervical/urethral)

· Switch therapy (switch from parenteral to oral therapy)
